CRP is conducting a two-year evaluation of the Champion of Children Fund, a partnership of Columbus Montessori Education Center and the Franklin Department of Job and Family Services. The Fund provides a subsidy to children of lower income families to attend quality early learning centers while parents are either working or attending school and also supports centers that have achieved quality standards. CRP will assess the impact of the program on helping children become ready for kindergarten.

CRP is assisting the Center for Healthy Families in collecting data on their target population—pregnant and parenting teens—and community programs that serve this population. CRP is providing social and demographic data and providing technical assistance in conducting a survey of other community organizations.
A part of the funding for the project is from Franklin County core services resources.
