OHFA Foreclosure Recovery Focus Groups, July 2007
Ohio Housing Finance Agency

Community Research Partners (CRP) conducted two focus groups to dicuss strategies and resources for individuals and communities to recover from Ohio’s foreclosure crisis. This report includes focus group comments and a summary of the major points and themes which emerged.

CRP assessed a statewide pilot project, Ohio Access Success, to transition nursing facility residents to community-based settings.

Ohio Skills Bank Initiative Design, November 2007
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services

CRP assisted the state of Ohio in the implementation of the Ohio Skills Bank, an initiative to invest in regional strategies that integrate workforce and economic development activities.
This work was funded by a grant from KnowledgeWorks Foundation from the Joyce Foundation’s Shifting Gears initiative.

Ohio Vacant Property Impact Study 2006
ReBuild Ohio

Community Research Partners (CRP) designed a study for ReBuild Ohio to research the economic and community impact of vacant property in selected Ohio cities. The research design project includes a review of literature and research models and analysis of data from 13 Ohio cities to assess data availability and select communities to be used in the impact study.
The research design project was funded by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.

Ohio Workforce Coalition Releases 2010-2012 Public Policy Platform

The Leadersip Committee of the Ohio Workforce Coalition has released the Coalition's 2010-2012 Public Policy Platform developed with the input of diverse individuals and organizations from across the state. The platform recommends changes in state policy to: 1) Reduce barriers for adults pursuing education and training, 2) meet the workforce needs of Ohio employers, and 3) improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the state workforce development system.

The Coalition, which is staffed by Community Research Partners, is now seeking endorsements to demonstrate support for the important policy recommendations in the platform. You can ENDORSE by emailing Rebecca Kusner and providing the requested information. The Coalition welcomes endorsements from both organizations and individuals, and has a goal of 125 endorsements by September 20th.
