A Columbus casino could turn 22,000 people into "problem or pathological" gamblers who rack up $28 million in social costs each year. That's the human tally described in a report by Community Research Partners. Area human-service advocates commissioned the report because they say now is the time to prepare for casino-related social ills in Franklin County. They also want Ohio lawmakers to start thinking about how to divide the promised pot of money to help.
